  • Many aspects of building performance improvement and residential alternative energy investment lend themselves to quantifiable measurement. This fact has been pointed out in previous Axioms, such as measuring building energy requirements, testing building envelope performance improvements and measuring the financial consequences of retrofit investment. “Doing the numbers” is an important feature of Green Energy System’s service offer. Individual homeowners must also weigh a number of less tangible and measurable benefits of an energy retrofit and give proper weight to their impact on the overall investment decision as well.

    We believe that there are three important intangible benefits to be considered and weighed;

    • Comfort
    • Healthfulness
    • Environmental impact

    For some homeowners, these less tangible benefits, either individually or together, can outweigh the other more measurable impacts of an energy retrofit.
